Terms of use

The terms for using this site and its content.

These terms cover your use of this site. By using it you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use the site.

Using the site

You’re welcome to read, link to and share pages from this site. Please don’t try to break it, overload it, get into parts of it that aren’t public, or use the contact form to send spam or anything unlawful.

Who owns the content

The words, images and design on this site are copyright Tom Gould unless a page says otherwise. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page. For anything more, ask first through the contact form.

Code

The software described on this site has its own licences. Each project’s licence is in its repository, for example on GitHub, and those terms apply to the code, not these ones. Code snippets in articles on this site may be used freely in your own work.

No warranty

I write the content on this site carefully, but it’s provided as it is, without any warranty. It may contain mistakes or go out of date. Don’t rely on it as professional advice. As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss caused by using this site or relying on what it says. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

The apps described here have their own terms and disclaimers on their own sites.

This site links to other websites. I don’t control them and I’m not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link isn’t an endorsement.

Changes

I may update these terms. The page shows the date they last changed.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
